We, at Desi Handi, specially prepare the food with the least amount of oil or grease as Handi is heat resistance and food retains its moisture so extra oil is not needed to moisturize.
All the food at Desi Handi is slowly cooked in a handi like the traditional method with the lid sealed to it, using dough so steam cannot escape, preserving the nutrients in the food. In turn this also allows for the food to be cooked using its own water content, enhancing its flavor and tang.
